What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday

Happy 'What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday'!

Today's the day for sharing our desks:

My crafting action was limited this past week owing to 2 painful shoulders-ouch!
From my desk you can see what I have planned for when I'm feeling better...The spectrum pens are all poised and ready for me to play with them.  Having just watched a tutorial, I am feeling inspired to have another go at getting the colour blending technique.
There is a tiny pile of Hot Diggity Dog decoupage bits in the middle of my desk for me to assemble for my young nephew's birthday card.  I've got the Creative Cardmaking mag on the far right because I want to work on a fairyland theme using some of the enclosed papers and my stash of fairy stamps and some cosmic shimmer embossing powders.
In the white vase are some flowers I made recently using lollipop sticks, cherry lynn designs stacker flowers #2 and #5, Essentials No.9 Ornament de Floraux petals, buttons, ribbons and brads.  With the rose I took a circle of coredinations card, about 6cm diameter. cut out a swirl going inwards using scalloped edged scissors, rolled it inwards leaving a small backing surface to glue it together.  I then heat-embossed the edges in silver.  The rose leaves have been torn out of coredinations paper and the edges curled.  I love the vibrant colours.  My glorious grand calibur lives on my desk permanently!  Where would i be without it!!  Come to think of it, where would i be without my magnifying lamp!!  Nearly didn't get a mention!

Wishing everyone a good week's crafting and fun!  Thank you for popping by :)

WOYWW

Afternoon crafters :) The sun's shining today, not warm enough to ditch the thermals just yet!
I have had an amazing crafting week...for my birthday my partner booked me in for a 1 to 1 lesson with Lisa at http://www.thatcraftplace.co.uk/ in Eastbourne.  We had great fun playing with various embossing flakes and powders with dylusions ink sprays on wooden tags and ribbons.  Time absolutely flew by-like it does when ur enjoying yourself and getting messy! The spray inks have some really vibrant colours. They are next on my wishlist!
On the right is an amazing Holder Case for storing my embossing folders and dies (on magnetic sheets) - a brilliant birthday present from my partner who had got the idea from Create & Craft tv!  Feels great to be a bit organised! I also got the alphabet and number dies (Parker, Memory Box, inc.) which I'm really pleased with as I can do so much more with the letters and numbers...such as this Diamond Anniversary card..

I mostly used the Papermania Vintage Notes collection.  The colours blend so well. A joy to work with.

Over the week I made a couple of valentines cards, one was a last minute request with haribo jelly rings as the theme as her partner proposed with a yellow and orange jelly ring 9 yrs ago, hence 9 jellies!

The following card I made for my wife which she loved so much she has it displayed on her desk at work! Aww :)

Thank u for taking the time to read my blog.

Wishing everyone a Happy WOYWW, am lookin fwd to being inspired by your creative desks as I take a look around...

This was my desk on my final day of making many, many christmas cards...here are a few of my faves:

Here's my tidy desk, (following the mega clear up!) with some of the goodies I got for christmas...

Here's what I've made since:
This is for my friend's gorgeous new baby:

I made this diamond spring card for my great aunt Hilda.  You can also spot my rose which is now looking pretty in a vase with 4 other flowers I made up as I went along! Found a use for my lollipop sticks after all!
I made this 'Z' card for my great aunt Sheila:
For my nephew's card I used IndigoBlu's FlitterGlu and Morris Dance Mega-Flakes to achieve this:
This card I made for my great uncle Ron, I've been really enjoying the steampunk theme for these easel cards:
I'm really pleased with how this fun, grungy project turned out:
I loved making this vintage style stepper 'thank you' card:

That's it for today! Thank you for dropping by, see u next week :) happy crafting, Angel xx
